Mission Statement
The YMCA is a charitable organization dedicated to strengthening our community. With a focus on developing the potential of kids, improving individual health and well-being, and giving back to and supporting our neighbors, your participation in our Y will bring about meaningful change not just within yourself, but in your community, too.
What We Fund
The YMCA’s Summer Camp Wellness Program keeps kids in grades 1–10 active and healthy all summer. Over 200 campers participate in fitness activities, games, swimming, and nutrition education each week. The program builds healthy habits while tracking progress in strength, endurance, and overall wellness.
The YMCA’s Big Heart, Little Hands mentoring program supports at-risk youth in Indiana County through guidance and enrichment opportunities. Serving 120 children, the program offers mentoring, homework help, family activities, and access to YMCA programs.
It builds confidence, supports education, and strengthens families through resources, transportation, and community connections.
The YMCA Educational Support Program will offer learning support programs for youth ages 3–18.
Programs include tutoring and group learning focused on reading, school readiness, and STEAM. More than 200 children will be served through these efforts.
