The Rose Society
is a United Way of Indiana County leadership giving group established in October 1998 and named in honor of Rosina “Rose” Reschini, a woman whose lifelong commitment to generosity and community helped shape the spirit of giving throughout Indiana County. Rose was known not only for her philanthropy, but for the personal way she approached it—building relationships, encouraging others to give, and leading by example. She believed deeply that when people come together with compassion and purpose, they can create meaningful and lasting change.
The creation of the Rose Society was a tribute to that belief. It was founded to recognize and inspire individuals who share Rose’s vision—those who understand that strong communities are built through leadership, collaboration, and a commitment to helping others. Naming the Society after Rose Reschini serves as a lasting reminder of the impact one person can have and the ripple effect that generosity can create across an entire community.

Donors who contribute $1,500 or more annually to the United Way of Indiana County campaign are recognized as Rose Society members. These leadership donors play a vital role in advancing United Way’s mission, helping ensure that children and adults throughout the community have access to the resources they need to live healthy, supported, and successful lives.
Each summer, Rose Society members are invited to a special celebration in their honor. This gathering not only recognizes their generosity, but also reflects the sense of community and shared purpose that Rose herself championed. It is a time to celebrate the collective impact made possible through their leadership and to look ahead to the continued work of building a stronger Indiana County.
