4th Annual Excellence in Education Event

Last night the United Way of Indiana County had the privilege to attend the 4th Annual Excellence in Education Event at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex. Generously sponsored by  and hosted by the Indiana County Chamber of Commerce.
 

This special event brings together students, educators, and community leaders from across Indiana County to celebrate outstanding achievements in education. It highlights students who excel not only academically, but also through leadership, service, and a commitment to making a difference—along with educators who go above and beyond to inspire and support them.
 

At the United Way of Indiana County, we believe strong communities start with empowered individuals. That’s why this event is so meaningful to us—it recognizes the next generation of leaders and the mentors who help guide them.
 

Indiana Area School District's, Joseph Perkovich was named as 2026 Teacher of the Year and Penns Manor Area School District senior Brooke Cunningham as 2026 Student of the Year, and were the winners of the two brand new cars provided by .
 

We were honored to present philanthropic awards to some incredible students and one outstanding educator, totaling $5,500. Their commitment to giving back reflects the very spirit of what we strive to support every day.
