United Way of Indiana County Celebrates Successful 2025 Campaign
The United Way of Indiana County proudly announced the success of its 2025 “Strength in Unity” Campaign during its annual Community Campaign Celebration held on March 27th at the Indiana Country Club.
Thanks to the generosity and dedication of donors, volunteers, businesses, community partners, and the individuals who supported United Way event fundraisers, the organization exceeded its campaign goal of $724,211, with a grand total of $727,886.09. The announcement was made by 2025 Campaign Co-Chairs Aaron Ludwig and Rob Heinrich before a strong gathering of supporters who came together to celebrate the impact of this year’s efforts.
Funds raised through the campaign remain in Indiana County and are invested locally to support programs and initiatives delivered through United Way partner agencies and other programs. These resources help address critical needs, including financial stability, food insecurity, housing challenges, and access to essential services for individuals and families across the county.
The afternoon recognized the many groups and individuals that played a vital role in achieving the goal. The “Great Things” Award was presented to Sam Kenly, Executive Director of Downtown Indiana, honoring his leadership and dedication to the community. This award is given to a person or group that has gone over and above in support of the campaign in the current year or who has a strong history of support.
Looking ahead, Zach Hilliard and Josh Muscatello were introduced as the co-chairs of the 2026 Campaign. Their leadership will guide the organization’s next fundraising effort as United Way continues its commitment to building a stronger, more resilient Indiana County.
During the business portion of the meeting, outgoing board members were recognized for their service: Patricia Berezansky, Brenda DiCicco, Sherene Hess, Shannon Kimmel, and Michael McDermott. Their leadership and commitment have helped advance the mission and impact of the organization.
Rob Hohn will be stepping down as board Treasurer, as Jon Costello from S&T Bank will be taking his place.
